Please join us in congratulating gallery artist Elizabeth Casqueiro for her upcoming exhibition at The Embassy of Portugal in Washington, DC.

Elizabeth holds degrees in architecture and design. She also pursued art studies at the Escola Superior de Belas Artes in Lisbon, Central Saint Martin’s College of Art in London, the Corcoran College of Art and Design, and the Washington Studio School. After a career as a corporate architect in the World Bank Group, during which she traveled extensively to the far reaches of the globe, she now pursues her passion for art making on a full- time basis.
Her portfolio includes painting, drawing, ceramics, and 3-dimensional multimedia work. Her themes are inquiries into the intersection of the manmade, the natural, and the imagined. Comic book characters surface frequently as a reminder of the impact of popular culture on modern day society, as do personally significant references to history, industrial objects, and childhood gardens.
Elizabeth exhibits in the United States and in Europe and her artwork is in private and corporate collections.
