November 5, 2004 First Friday””For those who missed the opportunity to purchase a Castelli watercolor at last May’s one-man show and for seasoned collectors who are eager to see the latest work from his studio, the Carla Massoni Gallery announces a special one-week exhibition to celebrate the unveiling of Castelli’s new Iris print and to offer a selection of watercolor paintings completed this summer.
Flight Risk / Island Bird (131/4” x 25”, $600) is the second in what will be a series of limited edition Iris prints produced by Mr. Castelli. The original painting was recently accepted into the 59th Annual Exhibition of the Royal Society of Marine Artists. Only 50 copies of this exceptional Iris print will be produced. Also available are signed Iris prints of Making the Gulls Weep / Island Bird (22” x 30”, $725), originally used in J. Russell Jinishian’s book Bound for Blue Water.
