This year my focus was to turn my gaze in new directions. In the past, I explored the small worlds of river flotsam and jetsam. The idea of “turning” came to me last fall. I started focusing on the walls of color in stands of trees, where the color mutates, or turns, from one hue to another in subtle and not so subtle ways. My use of paint also turned in new directions also, using flicking and skipping brush motions, and utilizing luscious oil sticks, for a looser, more crayon-y graphic effect. – Marcy Dunn Ramsey

Primavera my favorite season has shown her beauty.
While the colors of the winter months are mostly muted,the buds of spring brings a palette of greens in the fresh leaves. These bronzes have a wide spectrum of cupric nitrate patinas that reflect so many of the colors I see outside my studio.
