Each of the five artists in the exhibition interprets their varying views with different sensibilities. They use the landscape to understand the larger idea of the environment, and of life itself. None of the paintings are exact plein aire depictions of specific places. They are concerned with visualizing the other senses’ experience. The artists represent diverse regions of the country.
