Joe Karlik’s inspirations translate into art in many media: oils, collage, wood, found objects, photography and mixed media. His art, like nature, provides a full range of textures. The paint and collage that defines the work explores a tension between beauty and crude marks.
Joe was raised in Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Maryland Institute, College of Art. As well as showing his artwork throughout the years at various venues, including the Walters Museum of Art, Joe has earned a reputation as an innovative event and graphic designer with clients all over the country. His work is diverse and creative, from designing events for the Pope and the President of the United States to Spongebob Squarepants and MTV.
