Born 1967 in Milan, Italy, I divide my time between the countryside of Eastern Pennsylvania and Lake Como, Italy.
My photographic journey came later in life.
Memories from my Italian childhood, extensive travels, the challenges of motherhood in my forties, and a never-ending sense of restlessness have been the most influential factors in my photographic style and aesthetic.
I use photography to capture images that communicate the thoughts and feelings I have experienced. First and foremost, I make photographs for myself.
With my images I try to evoke a sense of space and motion often enhanced by rich and dramatic use of monochromatic tones.
My photography is driven by the self-absorption of the solitary image and it is an instinctive organic process.
